1. Does your door hanging video teach the inexperienced how-to hang

Yes it does, however this how-to video uses the
latest in power tools as well as specialty jigs and templates
for drills and routers. Those with a little experience in carpentry

2. What are the basic steps in hanging a door?
A. Read the jamb with a framing square, straight
edges and levels so you can pre-cut the door a little smaller
than the opening to fit into the opening for scribing, cutting
and planning. Install temporary doorstop.
B. With the door scribed for the correct margins, it is then
trimmed and bevel planed to those lines.
C. Now you can mortise out for the hinges using a hinge mortising
template and router or hand method.
D. Install the hinges and hang the door. Check your margins.
Rescribe and trim if necessary. Scribe and cut off the door bottom
for threshold or flooring.
E. With the door properly hung you are ready to bore out for
the lockset and mortise out for your latch and strike plate.
F. With the strike plate adjusted so the door edge aligns with
the jamb edge you are ready to install the permanent doorstop
